In December 2015, the two couples got together for dinner. Without a doubt, Kevin and Nicole had been under a lot of stress. Lianna and Shawn wanted to help them out. They did not want to stick their nose into it, but the topic was difficult to avoid. They soon started talking about kids.

Nicole just finished talking about her childbearing issues when Lianna told them something unexpected. Kevin narrated it this way: “Lianna goes, ‘You know I have five children, Shawn and I want to have maybe one or two more. And [Nicole and I] looked at each other with a puzzled look, like, ‘You have five kids, why would you want any more?’” What their friend said in response made them feel emotional.
