King Tutankhamun, often known as the “Lion of the Nile,” governed Egypt from 1332 to 1323 BC. He was only in power for ten years before dying. The Carter Tomb was found by archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922 and is now known as the tomb of this New Kingdom pharaoh. It had apparently been sealed for almost 3,200 years before being discovered!
