The bassist has $300 million in his bank accounts, but his children Sophie and Nick are not going to be privy to it. He will make sure that they get what they need, but that is about it. He once shared, “In terms of an inheritance and stuff… they will never be rich off my money because every year they should be forced to get up out of bed, and go out and work and make their own way.” By doing this, he hopes that they will understand how important hard work is. He explained it more by sharing, “I don’t want them to say, ‘Thanks, Dad, for making me rich.’ No, you wanna be able to stand on your own two feet and say, “I did that.”

He said that he likes to spend as much as possible so that they would have none of it. He explained, “I told them there won’t be much money left because we are spending it. We have a lot of commitments. What comes in, we spend, and there isn’t much left.” He has said that he hopes his children will be able to stand on their own two feet. They were not raised in a lavish way, apparently. Their dad also shared, “They rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate. They have the work ethic that makes them want to succeed on their own merit.”
