Better known as Moe Howard, Moses Harry Horwitz was the leader of the pack. He started acting by working as an errand boy for Vitagraph Studios in Brooklyn in New York City. In turn, the studio began giving him work, and eventually, he joined a Mississippi River showboat’s acting troupe.
