“Taking away his phone won’t help – he’s always in that garage, anyway! It’s that damn car!” Adam grumbled one evening, and that’s when he decided to sell it. I didn’t fully agree with this approach, but Adam was determined, and eventually, I gave in. He found an eager buyer quickly and arranged the sale, all while making sure Jason had no clue what was coming.

“No! No, no, no!” he yelled when he realized the car was really gone. “Who did you sell it to?! Please, I need to know!” he insisted, but Adam remained calm and told him to go to his room. “You need to focus on school, son. You’ll have plenty of time to work on cars after you get your degree.” But, of course, Jason didn’t want to hear any of it.
