What Were The Alterations?

Originally the gorgeous dress that Queen Elizabeth wore was made from gorgeous silk fabric. So when it came to Princess’s big wedding day, the dress had organza puff sleeves added where before there were simply just straps. Additionally, the hemline of the skirt was straightened and trimmed with ivory satin, but previously it was more of a puffball style. There’s no doubt that Beatrice looked like an absolute darling!

However, that was not all. Beatrice’s royal wedding tiara is also something she borrowed from her grandmother for her special day. The enormous, stunning diamond tiara was the very crown Queen Elizabeth wore on her wedding day in 1947 when she wed Prince Philip. Princess Beatrice absolutely looked so lovely and the way in which she paid tribute to her royal heritage was wonderful. She is definitely one of the luckiest royals, don’t you think?
