Sean Connery
Sir Sean Connery was a Scottish actor, and the first actor to portray fictional British secret agent James Bond on film. Connery starred in 7 amazing Bond films between 1962 and 1983. During his incredible career, he won numerous awards, namely, an Academy Award, 1 British Academy Film Award as well as 2 Golden Globe Awards. Sean Connery passed away in October 2020 at the age of 90. His passing was announced by his family and although they did not disclose the cause of his death, Connery’s son stated that he had been unwell for some time.
Dame Barbara Windsor
Dame Barbara Windsor passed away on December 11th, at the age of 83. She was best known for portraying in the Carry On film series and in BBC’s East Enders as Peggy Mitchell. Windsor, an outspoken supporter of the LGBT+ community and a camp style icon, died of Alzheimer’s disease. Dame Barbara had “campaigned for the lonely and the vulnerable — and cheered the world up with her own British brand of harmless sauciness and innocent scandal,” said Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, upon learning of her death.
