D.B. Cooper
The following case was “closed” by the FBI in 2016, however no definitive answer was reached. The man known to us as “DB Cooper” hijacked a Boeing 727 to Seattle in 1971. He abandoned the plane by using a parachute once he got his $200.000 ransom. Nothing was ever known about the location of neither the money nor him. A half-century after, there still remain questions such as could it have been possible for him to parachute from such a high height and to land safe and sound? Was Cooper an alias or his real name? The only thing we know for certain is that he disappeared into history.

On December 22, 1967, two friends embarked on the 23-foot luxury yacht Witchcraft headed to Miami. However they hit something just after traveling just one mile, so they naturally called the Miami Coast Guard to assist them. 19 minutes after the call, the Coast Guard arrived at the location but there was no trace of the boat, no sign of debris, or the two friends for that matter. For almost a week, miles of ocean were searched but nothing was even found. Today this yacht is believed to be one of the Bermuda Triangle’s victims.

At first, it was thought that Harold had either been eaten by a shark or swept out to sea. Eventually, the cause of death was ruled as an accidental drowning because the place where he went for a swim was known to be a place with strong rip currents. His body was never found.
