Mark Freeley is a dog lover and spends a lot of time with his dogs, Storm and Sara. We doubt there are a lot of pet owners out there who spend time with their pets as much as he does with his. However, he still finds the time to go to the local animal shelter to take care of the animals that need a home. Freeley loves it when he gets to spend his afternoon with Storm and Sara, enjoying the great outdoors. However, one particular day stands out from all the outings they’ve ever had, as fate brought them to the ocean and they chanced upon something which changed everything.
Fated To Find
Freeley’s Golden Retriever Storm has a fantastic personality. It should not come as a surprise since dogs give back the treatment they get: love, attentiveness, and plenty of time spent outdoors.
Mark often goes out for long walks with Storm because it is pretty hard to resist allowing such a good dog to run around outside. Mark even lets Storm off his leash and on that day, the dog was roaming around when they noticed something in the water…
A Dog’s Instinct
Like they usually did, Mark was with his dogs strolling along the Long Island Sound, one of the most placid and beautiful locations on the whole North American coastline. This site is often frequented by the trio.
They knew the area well, so if something did not look quite right in the water, they would immediately notice. However, it was Storm who acted first when they noticed something was amiss. Who knows what might have happened if he had not?
Where Is Long Island Sound?
Most people have heard of Long Island, but where exactly is Long Island Sound? Long Island Sound is the area of water between Long Island and the coast of southern Connecticut.
Long Island Sound stretches 110 miles (177 km) from the East River in New York City, along the North Shore of Long Island. The water has a unique mix of freshwater from the East River and saltwater from the Atlantic Ocean.
