Long Island Sound was a great place during the summer; it wasn’t uncommon to find families with their pets around the water or going in for a swim. Mark brought his dogs to Long Island Sound quite frequently.

Storm loved going to the beach and running around in the sand or going swimming in the water, and this special day was no exception. Storm was so excited to go to one of his favorite places, but he had no idea what sort of hero he’d become.

The instant Storm noticed something odd, he had already started running towards the water, diving in headfirst and braving the cold waters of the North Atlantic.

Storm zeroed in on the object that was floating and Mark tried to see what exactly was bobbing up and down behind his dog. Could it be a log or something that got swept away? At the beach, Mark’s eyes narrowed as he looked at the horizon.
