Dolly Parton is nothing if not a risk-taker. She once joined a transgender lookalike contest one Halloween in Santa Monica Boulevard. We don’t know why she keeps losing in these kinds of concerts, but she did. For sure the audiences were ecstatic when she revealed that she was the real Dolly Parton.

Recreating Fond Memories
Like we said earlier, Dolly grew up in a poor family with 11 siblings. Her family’s house lacked the basics like: electricity and good plumbing. When her career took off, she gave her brother Bobby some money to make some improvements in the old house. She mostly wanted it to look exactly the same as in the past, only with a better plumbing system and electricity.
