Seeing as a project such as this one is such a big one, it only makes sense there will be a whole lot of people involved to get it done. As is clear from this photo, dozens, if not more, workers are involved to make sure everything gets done correctly and efficiently. Not to mention, without endangering anyone in the process. While machinery is used for the bulk of the project, individuals also have many tasks that their equipment couldn’t achieve.

It’s a dangerous process to undertake seeing as so many things can go wrong at any given moment. The last time the canal was drained before this one was in 2001. It’s logical to think that such an occasion is exciting since it’s only done every decade or so. The workers have a lot of preparations to do to take on such a massive task. The municipality needs to acquire all the machinery and equipment that will be needed – it’s not simple.
