A Badger
Plumbing mishaps and strange stories can happen anywhere. In Scotland, plumbers came across a badger in the sewer line during a routine drain cleaning. Luckily, the animal made a full recovery after it was rescued. As we already know, plenty of other live animals have been found in drains and sewers all around the world, including cows, alligators, and even snakes. That isn’t all, however, there were more animals to be found in such an odd place.

In Australia, a newborn baby was able to survive for five days in a storm drain. The seven-day-old boy was found at the bottom of a 9-foot pipe that was covered with a 440-pound concrete slab. He was still wrapped in his hospital blanket. Considering the temperatures in the area were over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at the time, his survival was nothing short of amazing. A man found the baby after hearing strange noises in the storm drain and called the police.
