Finding Artifacts
In one of the rooms in the cave, the pair found a newspaper shot. During the Second World War, the Herald newspaper was written. One of the headlines said, “Is this the end of Luton Airport?” On the other side, in the midst of the fighting, the papers addressed ordinary life. The artifact presented them with the ability to look at what it was like during the war to remain in Britain. What else did they run into down there?

The couple has fallen across signs that there was a ton of water and food hidden down there before. People required sustenance if at all, they were to hide under the earth. They may have been holed up in shelters for days or even weeks on end. When Simon was interviewed, he said, “It’s unbelievable to believe anything was accomplished by hand.”
