Mike’s uneasiness increased as he felt that the staff was watching him. Everyone seemed to have their own plans, and he was one of them. He made an effort to seem unconcerned, but the looks and whispers made him nervous. Is there anything they’re all concealing, something potentially harmful? Mike needed friends, not just those who stared at him. He came to the realization that he couldn’t face this alone at that point. He had to tell someone he could trust.

Mike took out his phone and texted John, his best buddy, in an attempt to regain his sanity. “Hey, dude, I need your opinion.” There’s something strange up here. With some comfort, he sent the message, “Call me.” John was a straightforward guy who was a nice friend. Perhaps discussing it with him would clarify the problem. He needed direction and hoped for a prompt answer.
