In an interview, Karen Knotts had the opportunity to share the last moments she shared with her father before he passed away. She said that as she and her stepmother were by Don Knotts’s side, her father broke the devastating silence by cracking a joke that made all of them laugh so hard. She thought of it as a very funny experience because they still laughed even at a time of sadness. Well, with Don Knotts’s presence, there would always be laughter and happiness.
