The disregard for the unit broke his heart. It was so dismal that he nearly cried. What made this worse was that it used to belong to his grandpa. Thomas inherited it upon the death of the older man, so it was not easy to rent it out to strangers. Sadly, he needed the extra money to provide for his own family. He thought that it was a solid plan, but there was no way he could have known that this would happen.
