Some may find it fun to discover hidden things inside their newly bought home, but sometimes people discover a whole lot of different stuff. Diane and Pat Farla lived in an old Victorian themed house in England. The two were always so curious about the grate that was in their basement. One night the two were having some wine when they decided to investigate the grate.

So they went down to their basement and immediately lifted the grate. A big hole just enough for their nephew and his friend to crawl through revealed to them. On the other side of the grate was a cellar that seemed like a church. The couple asked about historians and learned that the room was used as a secret Catholic Church back in the days when Catholics were being captured and killed.
