Selleck doesn’t really do jobs half-heartedly. He gives his all no matter what he does. Perhaps, the best way to illustrate this is to tell the story of his avocado farm and the drought that threatened to destroy it. When the actor took a break from the industry, he focused on the family’s 60-acre avocado farm. However, there was a severe drought in California a few years ago. Instead of resigning to their fate, Selleck broke the law and hired a truck to transfer water worth $1.4 million dollars from a nearby hydrant. This kept the farm running, but a crime is a crime. He soon faced the consequences of his actions.
