Julia was cautiously optimistic as well. She began to feel everything was swimming after she cautiously introduced herself to her 6th and 7th-grade students… And that’s before the temperature outside begins to rise. Julia positioned herself strategically beneath the air conditioner, but she didn’t feel any cooler. Her skin was beginning to flush, and she realized, “Oh no… I’m sweating! The horror!”

As the hours ticked away, the day began to feel endless. While the students were ecstatic to meet the new art teachers, Julia was concerned that she would not make a good impression on them that day.
