Actually, Dolly did not become a big star until the late 1980’s. It was when she released her album, “Trio.” It amazingly spent 5 weeks on the number 1 spot of the country music charts. Don’t assume that it that’s where her winning streak ended. She was actually inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999. Aside from this, she also released more albums that won her some Grammy Awards and gave hints of her Bluegrass style.

We have already mentioned the fact that she started out as a composer, and it’s not surprising that throughout the years, other big stars wanted to cover her songs.
