Panic and Action
Becky was startled out of her reverie as the heartbeat monitor began beeping frantically. The terrier’s breathing was irregular and laborious as she wheezed. “Now grab the oxygen tank!” Becky yelled, her tone firm and demanding. The employees surrounding her sprung into action, moving quickly and tensely. There was an electric charge of concern throughout the room. Becky behaved without thinking; every minute was a race against the clock.
